Food is such an exciting and enjoyable part of childhood, especially trying delicious new options. Our Healthy Food cooking program, run by our in-house cooks, educates children on different types of food, their nutritional value and how to make healthy choices when it comes to meals and snacks.
In line with our Healthy Children framework, our cooking program for children aged 2-5 years introduces important health concepts to your child, which will benefit them for years to come.
In-house cooks take the time to sit down and work with the children in small groups, teaching food hygiene, learning about, preparing and trying new healthy foods, and practicing cleaning up afterwards! Some of the activities in our cooking program can include:
- Make your own healthy pizza
- ‘Eat a rainbow’ vegetable platters
- Secret vegetable sauce and pasta
- Super sushi
- Mexican wraps
- Fruit smoothies and more
By adopting cooking classes and nutritional awareness programs into our weekly schedule, we are teaching children to make smart food choices to improve the quality of their health overall.
